Enjoy a private safari-style journey to Balos Lagoon in a comfortable off-road vehicle with a private escort-driver. Travel through northwestern Crete, passing through Kissamos and following an off-road route along the Gramvousa Peninsula, with panoramic views.

At the Balos parking area, begin a self-guided walk of approximately 20–40 minutes to reach the lagoon. Enjoy free time to swim, relax on the sandy beach, and take in the crystal-clear waters and scenery at your own pace. No trekking escort is provided for this part of the journey.

On the return journey, enjoy elevated views of Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island. You may also opt for lunch at a traditional Cretan taverna in Kalyviani village. Lunch is optional and not included, and choosing the lunch stop will shorten your time at Balos Beach.

1. Balos Lagoon

   Enjoy free time at Balos Lagoon, with its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. Follow a self-guided 20–40 minute hike from the parking area to reach the lagoon, where you can relax, swim and explore the area. On the return, enjoy panoramic views of Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island from above.
