Itinerary

1. Agia Sofia Cave

   The Cave of Agia Sophia is one of the most impressive caves of Crete, as its central hall has a height of 20 meters and a diameter of 70. It is located just beyond the village of Topolia. There you will also find the church of Agia Sophia from which the cave took its name. The remarkable numerous stalagmites and stalactites on the cave’s walls reach a size of five meters. The legend says that from the Cave of Agia Sophia passed St. George and there is even a mark in the rock from the horseshoe of his horse.
   In the Cave of Agia Sophia, scientists have discovered objects that testify to its use by the people of the Neolithic Period.

2. Elafonissi Beach

   The Libyan Sea and Elafonissi - the most south-westerly point of Crete - are not far away. It is considered to be a genuinely beautiful place with its pale pink sandy beaches and crystal clear water.

3. Elos

   Elos is a small village with few stone houses where its inhabitants are mostly engaged in agriculture
   
   The tiny, traditional village of Elos is located 60km southwest of Chania Town, which is situated a short distance from Kissamos on the West part of Crete, on the way to the well-known Monastery of Chrissoskalitissa and the unique, great, sandy beach of Elafonissi.
   
   The village is surrounded by lush greenery, olive groves, and plane trees. We will stop here for about 45 min to enjoy our lunch in a traditional taverna.

Meeting and pickup

Kindly note that this excursion is only serving accommodations in the general CHANIA area! Please make sure you have chosen the correct pick-up point for your excursion according to the concrete address of the area where you are staying.

Pickup Information: Pickups are arranged at the closest designated meeting point for each hotel and may require a short walk of approximately 5 minutes. As this is a group excursion operated by large coaches, pickups are not made directly outside every hotel, allowing for an efficient pickup and drop-off procedure for all guests.

Pick-up from the hotels is always on the main road. Please contact us through VIATOR in order to request a specific pick-up point or if you cannot find a convenient one on the list.
Clients have to be at least 5 minutes earlier than the pickup time at the point. Busses are not obligatory to wait for the clients in case of delay.
