With a history and tradition in wine production dating back to the late 1950s, the Titakis family of winemakers, now in its third generation, remains faithful and dedicated to the magical process of wine production. The specialized know-how accumulated over the years, the combination of native and selected international varieties and the inspired effort to create quality wine bring Titakis Winery to its new era which coincides with what can be called a Renaissance of Cretan wines.
Fabrika Experience
FABRIKA was established in order to introduce you to an alternative approach to the Cretan Wine World.
The urban industrial winery, the corridors of the “conCrete Village” with the imposing tanks, and the outdoor exhibition of the old winemaking machines trace our route from the early 50s till nowadays.

**Olive Mill Visit – A Taste of Liquid Gold**
Step into the heart of Cretan tradition with a visit to a local olive mill, where the age-old craft of olive oil production comes alive. You’ll witness how olives are transformed—from fruit to precious extra virgin oil—using both traditional and modern methods.
Smell the freshness, feel the warmth of the stone press, and taste different varieties of oil on local bread with a sprinkle of oregano. It's not just a tasting—it’s an experience rooted in simplicity, care, and generations of knowledge passed down with pride.
**Lyrarakis Winery – Alagni Village**
Welcome to Lyrarakis, a family winery nestled in the Cretan hills of Alagni, where tradition meets revival. Since 1966, the Lyrarakis family has been dedicated to preserving rare indigenous grape varieties like Dafni and Plyto—bringing forgotten flavors back to life.
During your visit, you’ll walk through the vineyard with mountain views all around, explore the cellar, and enjoy a guided tasting of unique wines paired with Cretan rusks and local olive oil. It’s a journey through the soul of Crete—one sip at a time.
**Traditional Cretan Lunch – Hidden Table in Ano Archanes**
Tucked away in the narrow lanes of Ano Archanes, a lovingly prepared, home-cooked meal awaits you at a quiet, undisclosed spot—just like locals do it. No signs, no menus—only the scents of slow-cooked lamb, stuffed vegetables, and wild greens drifting through the courtyard.
Here, lunch is not a service—it’s a ritual. You’ll sit at the family table, under vines or next to a warm oven, and enjoy dishes made with seasonal produce, olive oil from the village, and wine poured freely. It’s Crete at its most honest: warm, generous, and deeply rooted in its soil and stories.
